GOING TO SEE THE FRAY LIVE AT THE TABERNACLE!!!!!

I am so freakin excited. I love them. I will have their children.

Anyway I am coming home tomorrow. I have been at the lake all week in North Carolina with my family. It's been fun but I am ready to get back. I haven't been able to run/mt bike/do anything remotely cardio oriented in the past week. Besides the fact I have probably gained 10 lbs I can tell my body is like woohoo why are we sitting here all day. The roads here are too narrow to run or ride my bike on and there's not really anywhere close I can go to excersize. I have been kayaking a bunch but tat only works my arms. Blah blah blah y'all probably don't want to hear that. Anyway I am getting back tomorrow so call me!

Monday, July 17, 2006

Can you believe I have gone over a month without updating this thing. I have missed everyone. Things are going awesomely. Since we last spoke I had a birthday. Yes I am now 21. I also am almost completely moving into my new house. I am living 3 miles away from campus in a beautiful house in a swim tennis neighborhood with 5 other girls. I have been slowly cleaning my apartment. It really makes me sad to move out of here. I love University Place. This place has changed me into the person I have always waned to be. I have met so many of my amazing, wonderful, loving, caring, supportive, faithful friends here. I really don't know what else to say without sounding cheesy. I don't not take a single one of my friends for granted and I thank God all the time that I've formed the relationships I have. I know I may seem independent and set in my ways but the truth is I have taken something from each and every one of you, that has helped my become the girl you all know today.

We don't have internet yet at the house so I can't promise how soon my next post will be but I have lots of good stories and pictures so stay tuned.

I love you all, have a great day!
A message to boys everywhere

Girls do not, I mean DO NOT like it when we get honked/yelled/wistled/anything else at when we are running/walking/biking/skipping/anything else on the side of the road. First
off, thanks for all of you comments on the last post. They meant a lot and maybe
one day they will become a reality :) Anyway I went to Fla. with Lori, Chuck, Adam and Luke. We had
SO much fun. We all rode down there in Adam’s mom’s Suburban, everyone got
along, the weather was great, I got a beautiful tan, didn’t spend a ton of
money…everything was great. I just think the people I went with were a great
mix.
    I have
started my new nannying job and it is great. I feel much more
needed/appreciated, and a lot more like I am earning my my pay. Anatomy has started
up again. Yuck every tues/thurs from 5-7:45pm. I have GOT to do well in it this
time
    Saturday I
went mt. biking with Greg and Matt out in Conyers where they did for the ’96 Olympics.
It was a lot of fun. Good trails, but slightly harder. Some of the drop offs
were difficult since I am not as skilled as them. I think I was kinda in a funk
because I wasn’t taking as many risk as I normally would, but in my defense
matt had two bad falls and that wigged me out a bit, plus it was an unfamiliar
trail. Oh well I will get better

Destin '06

A tad windy on the drive down w/ all the windows down

It seems like love is in the air...for everyone else. I want to be content with being single but sometimes I just feel not necessarily alone but lonely. I know that God has someone to blow me away. I feel like I am so stubborn and unwilling to compromise in my standards that I may let him pass right by. Everyone out there right now in my same boat just know your not the only one who goes to bed every night wondering if tomorrow you will meet the man that will sweep you off your feet and make all the waiting worth it.
Results from my mt. bike race. Friday night several of us went to
stay @ Brent’s parents house in Gainesville
because since the race was in Dahlonega, his house was pretty close to it. I
got there a little later than everyone else and pretty much just went to bed
once we got there. Me, Matt and Greg had to be at the race by 6:30. I was so
nervous but also super excited. Everyone else came later since they didn’t have
to be there when the race started. I was only doing the 34K(21ish miles) mt. bike
race. Greg and Matt both did the duathalon(3mi run/21mi bike/2 mi run). I
started in a different place than them.
        The gun
went off and up I went. The first 3 miles were strait up hill. It was brutal. I
was like what in the world have I gotten myself into. 18 more miles of this? After
I got to the first checkpoint they said that was the hardest part. After that the
up-hill was pretty even with the descents. Oh my gosh there were several downhills
that I was absolutely flying on. It was the most amazing thing. I tried to make
up time on the descents because the uphill took me so long. I was going almost
40 mph on some of them. I had my headphones in and I couldn’t even hear my
music because the wind was so loud whooshing past my ears. I don’t want to
sound dumb but it got me a little emotional. Put yourself in my shoes...

You are flying down
hill on one of the most beautiful sunny days, through the trees up in the hills
of N. Georgia, listening the The Fray, and you
are about to accomplish something you though was almost impossible for you to
do. I was just on another planet.

Getting ready. I don't have any pictures from the actual race :(

After the race

Look they made me a sign . It made me feel so good that they came out to cheer us on. I love my these girls!

The 3 racers. Me, Matt and Greg. In connclusion: I got first place in my age group (but what
you must know is that I was the only one in my age group). Have your laughs but
still I am proud of myself. I got a plaque. Out of the 40ish people who did just
the mt bike race there were only like 4 girls. For the Duathaon, Greg got 1st
in his age group and matt got 3rd.
I am very proud of both of them!

I really don’t have time to be writing this is just wanted
to fill everyone in on how great God has been to me. I finally got all my
housing situation worked out for next year which I am so unbelievably excited
about. I will be living in the amazing house with Candace, Alaina, Elizabeth,
Lindsey, and Ashley (buff’s twin sister). Ok so all of that has worked out
swimmingly. One other thing that I can’t really put on here because the people
that it involves may read it. It has to do with my job and it has been
something I should have done a long time ago.

            And now to
some quick prayer request. I am doing my first mt. bike race tomorrow. I am
super nervous. All y’all know that I mt bike but what you may not know is that
I’m not very good. Anyway I am worried that something my go wrong with my bike
or with me for that matter. It is a 21 mile race so there is much time for
something to go wrong. I just want to survive. But don’t get me wrong I am
super excited. Also Trav is finally taking me 4 wheeling today. I am really
excited about that too, but I have to go b/c he is here to pick me up. Have a
great day.

Life is going well. I sprained my ankle a few weeks back playing softball and I am just now starting to run again. It's really frustrating trying to run and knowing what you are capable of and just not being able to performe at your best. I just have to be patient. It really could have been a lot worse. I mean Megan tore her dang ACL and won't be back to normal for 6 months. Anyway so yeah I am slowly trying to build back up to running like I was.
I have met a ton of cool new people lately. I love meeting new ppl. On the flip side I haven't been able to hang out with all the Dunmovin boys as much as I would like to. This makes me sad. I also have to decide where I am living next year. I LOVE living on campus and if I had it my way, I would just stay here. I hate this time of year when I have to figure out where I'm living. I don't want to live in a house but all the ppl i'm s'posed to be living with do. I just feel like I won't ever see anyone anymore. Ex: the Dunmovin boys. I have to make a conscious effort to go see them, and those time seem few and far between.
Anyway here are some pictures cause I know that's the only reason ya'll come to my Xanga anyway...

Me and Trav at the braves game. He is getting oh so hairy. At these games it's like a crazy drunken free for all there. Drinking really turns me off.
